‘Reflections of Innocence’ –  the simplicity of childhood in days gone by.  The scene of two girls relaxing in quiet companionship on a warm summers day is something we all relate too, the peaceful air around them is one that we all would like to enjoy.  The soft reflections in the pond and the slightly wild nature of the flowers hint that this is a forgotten area of the garden, that the girls retreat to, whether to escape their Governess or just to play, their story will come to life as you stitch.

The pattern is created on 25ct evenweave to maintain the detail of the original artwork.  For this image, I took my inspiration from the artworks of Gordon King.  The use soft pastel shades, blending colours to create the subtle details really appealed to me, resulting in the beautiful artwork that is now waiting to be stitch to bring the tranquillity to any room.
